Hello, Peavy here!
As you all know, we’ve worked on our next album for some time, and that’s gonna be recorded by our technician Charlie Czajkowski during the next weeks at the VPS studios in Hamm. Victor already recorded the orchestral passages for some songs together with conductor Andrei Zybrich and the Inspector Symphonic Orchestra in Minsk. In December Charlie Bauerfeind will lend a hand to the endmix.
I wanna tell you a bit more about the titles:

Suite Lingua Mortis
Music: Victor Smolski
Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
That's gonna be the main piece of the album. It's a 25 min. long suite for band and orchestra in a way, we did it 10 years ago with Lingua Mortis, only on a higher quality level. Victor composed it all, I wrote all the lyrics. It's the classic story of the Reaper and the girl. The work is made out of different parts:
|
 |
a) Morituri Te Salutant (working title):
a fanfare intro
b) Prelude Of Souls:
it starts instrumental with a cool piano theme in 5/4, the band joins in quickly. Then the orchestra jumps in the picture and it becomes pretty big. It goes into
|

|
 |
 |
c) Innocent:
a fast one with fat riffs and supercool melodies. In the middlepart then a big moshpit stormer, that's started by the celli before we join in - Mike kills everything. From there into
d) Depression:
a pure orchestral intermezzo, pretty dark
|
 |
e) No Regrets:
again dominated by the band. A super fat groover with cool guitar effects and a nice hymnlike chorus. The vocals are a kind of dialog, I'm changing different moods. In the middle we have a mixed choir, then it flows into
f) Confusion:
a real prog instrumental part. It reminds me a bit of how we made Unity, big and crazy. Then another orchestral solo part follows
|

|
 |
 |
g) Black:
that's how it sounds. The suite ends with
h) Beauty:
a wonderful ballad, with melodies that make you cry. The orchestra ends the whole piece the big way.

Turn My World Around
Music & Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
A song, which starts with a spurting riff and leads into a verse with outstanding harmonics, cool chords and melodies, that lead into a great chorus. Here Victor will play some cello parts himself. The lyrics are about the feelings of people, who lost someone by murder.

Speak Of The Dead
Music & Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
The prospective titlesong is a steaming speedy one, around the tempo of our classic "Sent By The Devil", only in the verse we throttle back a bit. I can imagine this one very good in our liveset, as it has fantastic singalong melodies. The words are a statement against militarism.

Kill Your Gods
Music: Victor Smolski
Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
A song, that comes along very fat and heavy, great riffs guaranteed! The song is a challenge for us to play, though it doesn't sound progressive.
The words are surely some of my most provoking ones. It's meant against all those religious fanatics, from what side they may come, those who think they have the only truth and this would allow them to kill people who think different. That's a fatal way of thinking, that causes nearly all conflicts on this world...

Soul Survivor
Music & Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
A hymnlike song with a fat and supercatchy chorus. Rhythmical the song is uptempo with great shuffles from Mike in the verses. The words are about being true to yourself and others.

Be With Me Or Be Gone
Music & Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
This song the old fans might like. It comes along pretty fast, only the middle part is a bit more complex. The text is about a lost friendship.

No Fear
Music: Victor Smolski
Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
A song, that comes up with super heavy bulldozer riffs. The verses are athmospheric (like in Certain Days) and then again brutal heavy. The chorus is very catchy. In the middle it becomes very fast before Mikes comes with his "stampede"- doublebass drum. The words are an apply to overcome your inner fears and become more free.

Full Moon
Music & Lyrics: Peavy Wagner
The song starts with a moody, clean guitarintro, before it becomes a riffmonster. The chorus is pretty catchy with an uptempo groove. In this song I try something new, that I never did before. I sing the song in differrent languages, in English (normal album version), in German, Russian, Japanese and Spanish (all to be used as different bonus versions).
All the best, yours PEAVY
