Hi Rageheads
As we are recording our new album for a considerable time meanwhile, I’ll get into touch with you to bring you up to date regarding the songs. We’ve almost finished the recordings, just some small details have to be worked out before we start with the mix.
We are working on following songs, (as far as everything isn’t finished, following remains under caveat, certainly)

Empty Hollow

Empty Hollow is the „main work“ oft he album. An almost 20 minutes, completely orchestrated work, consisting out of 5 parts. The whole work, Victor has perfectly composed and arranged. It’s really a emotional roller coaster, waiting for the listener. Once, very heavy guitar riffs thundering on our ears, then, it will become gloomy with unforgettable melodies, then progressive parts resounds, which may remember at our well known song "Unity". You can listen to this number a hundred times, and you will discover news like the didgeridoo playing of Jen Majura or Hansi Kürsch's (Blind Guardian) backingvocals again and again.
The lyrics are about deep, inner loneliness, a human, who lost himself, not seeing any place for himself in this world. But by music, a way back to the others opened up finally....

Saviour Of The Dead

A super groovy heavy number with drop C tuning. Sounds real evil. One awesome riff followed by the next before a great melody at the chorus fills everything in shining light.
The lyrics are about the tragical death of Anneliese Michel from Klingenberg. The case was commanding the press during the seventies, and was submission for several movies. The girl out of an arrant catholic family was the casualty of an initiated exorcism by the church. Eventually, she died by emaciation due to a schizophrenia, which wasn’t treated. If she and her social environment would have admit a medical specialist care, she would be alive most likely. Now you can see her grave from the road if you pass the cemetery driving through the town. As a friend of mine is living near by, I remember her fate often. That was my inspiration for this lyrics, I try to imagine her sentiments during her last hours...

A full throttle riff massacre first class, garnished with a catchy hook line in refrain. Mainly, it goes right in the kisser, only the middle part is some more progressive.
The lyrics are about the riscs of the nuclear weapon politics of diverse dictatorial staates...

Here, the tricky riffs racing against each other, try to play that by yourself..:-) Certainly, this circumstance won’t be caught by non-musicians, as this number is just great, rather quick and heavy with cool melodies.
The lyrics are about grievance between the sexes, contingented by archaic thinking and paternalistic macho society structures.

Heavy Metal at it's best. This song is riffing through your skull in up-tempo, before presenting some arrangement surprises in the middle part.
Quite ironically, the lyrics describing what we’re facing at the current banking crises: how the rich and powerful people enriches themselves by the poor people.

A real first class thrash granate we firing up here, the song’s reminding to our early albums, having real old school feelings. Real snotty vocals, with rough guitars from Victor and highlighted by André’s double bass attacks.

This mega fat metal steam roller with cool riffs and melodies (and certainly diverse cool drum parts from dad) is dedicated to our new arrival at the RAGE family.
The lyrics have to be seen with a twinkle in your eyes, it‘s about Sam solely. Directly after André knew that he will become dad, we decided to write a song for the little one. Meanwhile, Sam is on the world since some months, here now her own song. Who can say that for himself – getting an own song for birth?
All the best for this life Sam, our Hellgirl !
Up to February you have to wait for this new album, I promise, it will be worth it!

Victor here.... After months of work in studio for the upcoming RAGE album “Strings To A Web”, I slowly begin to enjoy our new work as a finish product! It is such a great feeling to see how few small ideas develop and become something really big.
