Here's another way to spend your time as musician between concerts and studio: Peavy Wagner uses such days to visit limestone quarries with his friends to collect fossils. Here's a picture from last weekend, showing Peavy in a quarry near Solnhofen in the bavarian Altmühl valley, digging for 150 mio. years old fossils in the white jurassic stone. In this world famous fossil site, where usually the limestone is won for industrial purposes among others, the famous archäopterix, missing link between dinosaurs and birds, was found. Of course Peavy & Co. didn't find one of these, but some fossil fishes, ammonites and sea lilies...
