23.07.2005Info's regarding next RAGE CD |

During last weeks Victor and Peavy have worked on new song ideas for another RAGE album. These ideas should be tested during demo recordings in August, before Victor will record the orchestra parts for a "Suite Lingua Mortis" in Minsk. It's about a 20 minutes long band/orchestra work, which will be the main part of the new RAGE album. Victor is working hard at the notation, it's going to become terrific... At the end of September Peavy, Victor and Mike will start to record the new album at Charlies VPS Studios, just interrupted by the live activities (Southamerika). Up to the end of November everything should be recorded, so Charlie Bauerfeind can start mixing the album in December.
The release date worldwide will be the 20th of March 2006 by Nuclear Blast. |

19.07.2005Desaster at the Zadar Festival |

Rage feels very sorry for this desaster at the Zadar Festival last weekend. We flew in to Zagreb that day and were not even picked up at the airport. We were sitting there like idiots for a couple of hours and couldn't even reach the promoter on the phone. So we had no other choice to move into a hotel in Zagreb and wait for what's gonna happen. Later that day the promoter finally called with a lame excuse, but it was already far too late to catch the gig.
We feel very sorry for all the fans who travelled a lot to see us. We really wanted to play for you. Promoters like this should be send to the moon for the rest of all time. We had also a lot of private expenses to pay for this and never saw one penny for this gig, it was just a desaster. We hope we'll find a better promoter in Croatia, so we can come again and finally play for you...

Unfortunately the concert in Mexico City has to be cancelled as the promoter of that show behaved very unprofessional. The band couldn't get any contact to him during the last weeks so it became impossible to maintain that concert date. Sorry...... |

There were so many entries of Brazilian RAGE fans in our Guestbook during the last year, asking, or rather imploring the band to come to Brazil for some concerts again. Finally RAGE will play 2 shows at the "Live N Louder Rock Fest" in São Paulo as well as in Porto Alegre in October. More details you'll find at the "Dates" section. 11.05.2005Peavy home again |

Hi everyone, Peavy here. I'm back home now, they wanted to keep me longer in hospital, but I left on my own responsibilyty. The pain is o.k. now and I had enough of just lying there. I can only type with my left hand and it hurts a bit. My right elbow was fractured in my bike crash and in an 2 hour operation the doctors manage to fix all the bone parts, it was a bit complicated and I have now more metal inside!! a few screws and stuff...
My left arm is also injured, but I can use it a bit. I have to keep the broken arm in this big heavy splint for the next 6-8 weeks, I have rehabilitation and physiotherapeutics to get it back to moving. I hope I'll be fine again by July. We try to do the show in Italy on 4th of June, maybe I can play some rudimentary bass. Besides this I can only stay home now and rest to get better.
I thank you all for your good wishes, this gives me a lot of energy I can use now! I'll be all right and play for you again!!

As we just heard about, Peavy had an accident on Wednesday, lying in hospital after an operation at his arm now. Peavy was on the way with his bicycle, as a car driver didn't noted Peavy's right of way at a blind place. At his fall with the bicycle Peavy hurts his arm. We would like to send Peavy all the heartiest regards and hope you will be better soon!!!!! |

It's not entirely up to the band itselfs, if a concert will be postponed or canncelled, or if RAGE will be booked at special festivals. That's always up to the decision of the promoter. So if you have some wishes or complaints, please turn over to them, as RAGE has no influence on it. |

Peavy Wagner, Victor Smolski and Mike Terrana have just signed a long-term deal with NUCLEAR BLAST records. In an official statement, Peavy says: "After our fantastic anniversary tour we were convinced, that we want to work with a label that pushes us forward with creative ideas and full power support. With this in our backs we can jump right into the making of our next album. We imagine to do something without stylistic changes but with a wider range of sound. After the good experiences with Victor's latest solo album we want to get the Inspector Symphonie Orchester from Minsk involved, similar to what we did a couple of years ago on "Lingua Mortis". This time the result will be a lot harder. That's how the new songs sound we recently wrote in first rehearsals. They blend in perfectly with our latest releases." |

Those of you, who saw RAGE live during their anniversary tour at the end of last year, already got the benefit, watching the newest RAGE video clip. Due to the effort of HerbX Medienproduktion (special thanks to Emma Mascall) RAGE got the permission to use a scene out of the movie "Der Schuh des Manitu" to produce a brilliant video clip to "Straight To Hell". (special thanks to Matthias Knézy-Bohm for production also). Unfortunately we are not allowed to televise the video clip in the well-known music channels on TV, as the media presents of Bully Herbig was reduced to a minimum in 2005, to avoid an "overkill" after the great success of the movie "Traumschiff Surprise".
Nevertheless, we can offer you the video clip on our website, where you can find different versions at the "Media" section for download. A commercial spreading is stricly prohibited!! |
