13.11.99 - 1. TOURTAG - BOCHUM - D

Ein dunkler Schleier liegt über dem Himmel, denn es ist Nacht. Nach und nach trudeln die Akteure unserer Mission ein. Es gilt die Botschaft unters Volk zu bringen, dass RAGE lebendiger sind denn je. Und das testen wir auch gleich vor der Abfahrt. Unter 5 Promille darf keiner in den Bus einsteigen. Leider hat Meister Trommler, Mike Terrana alias Chucky Tarantella schlechte Karten, da er erst um 23.00 Uhr mit dem letzten Zug einläuft. Irgendwann schaffen wir es, den festgesetzten Tourpegel zu erreichen und dürfen endlich losfahren. Also machen wir uns auf und fahren gegen Wilden Osten. Natürlich müssen wir den Pegel auch halten (in Spremberg wird wieder getestet), also wird keine Raststätte ausgelassen. 5 Stunden später erreichen wir Hamm. Victor geht nochmal kurz nach Hause, um ordentlich zu schiffen. In Hannover müssen wir leider auch schon den Busfahrer auswechseln: Jörg, unser bisheriger Busfahrer quittiert den Dienst. Elmar kommt an Bord.

Im Laufe der Nacht tut sich Tourmanagerin Kirsten besonders hervor, indem sie eine Runde Nobelsekt (Asi-Spumante) nach der anderen schmeisst. Keiner weiss so ganz genau, wann wir Spremberg erreicht haben. Ausser Elmar (vielleicht).

14.11.99 - 2. TOURTAG - SPREMBERG - D

Ein dunkler Schleier liegt über dem Himmel. Über uns auch. So bringt der erste Tourtag richtig Spass ! Peavy lacht sich immer noch über sich selbst kaputt, denn er denkt, er sitzt neben sich. Der Typ im Spiegel ist ihm gänzlich unbekannt. Der erste Tag gestaltet sich ziemlich relaxt: Alle müssen antreten zum Steine-Anmalen für die Bühnendekoration. Zum Glück sind wir mit einer hervorragenden Crew gesegnet; ansonsten wäre bei unserem Tempo diese Show wohl nicht mehr zustande gekommen. Umständehalber spielen alle Bands heute erstmal etwas verhaltener los und testen dabei ihre Programme. Vor der Weiterfahrt nach Berlin ist dann erstmal Kräftesammeln wieder angesagt:

15.11.99 - 3. TOURTAG - BERLIN - D

Ein dunkler Schleier liegt über dem Himmel. Bei genauerem Hinsehen entpuppt er sich als der Schatten der Baugerüste, die unsere Halle, das Kesselhaus, zieren. Wir sitzen mitten auf einer Baustelle. Nach diversen Beinahe-Schlägereien mit den Bauarbeitern finden wir zu guter letzt doch einen Parkplatz und unsere arme Crew darf unsere Anlage über eine beträchtliche Entfernung durch riesige Schlammlöcher manövrieren. Bis uns dann ein Polier darauf aufmerksam macht, dass wir ohne Helm die Baustelle nicht betreten dürfen und uns sogar mit der Polizei droht. Ob die wohl genügend Helme für unser Publikum bereit stellen werden ? Wir stellen uns 600 Menschen mit Bauhelmen ziemlich komisch vor. Die erste Band des Abends, VALLEY'S EVE, war etwas nervös, da ihre Berliner Plattenfirma zu Besuch war. Unsere finnischen Freunde von NIGHTWISH kommen sehr gut bei den Berlinern an und werden nicht ohne Zugabe von der Bühne gelassen. Dann sind wir dran. Das Konzert ist klasse; bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, als unser Schlagzeuger, Mike (evil Chuckie) sein Bassdrumfell in Jenseits befördert, was uns eine 20-minütige Umbaupause beschert, die wir aber geschickt mit gelungen Improvisationen überbrücken. Das Publikum unterstützt uns dabei lautstark und alle haben einen Mords-Spass. Da wir auf dieser Baustelle garantiert keinen Strom für die Busse bekommen, verabschieden wir uns schnell Richtung Hamburg.

16.11.99 - 4. TOURTAG - HAMBURG - D

Ein dunkler Schleier liegt über dem Himmel. Aber erst, nachdem wir unsere Garderobe betreten: Für 26 Leute sind 10 Mahlzeiten bereitgestellt. Zum Ausgleich konnten wir erst um 15.30 Uhr mit dem Ausladen anfangen, da bis dahin unser Hänger zugeparkt war. Wir nehmen den Zeitstress gelassen hin und auch das zahlreich erschienene Publikum wartet geduldig auf den Einlass in die Markthalle, um alle Bands daraufhin hammermäßig abzufeiern. Auch die Musikerpolizei ist angerückt, um sich erfreulicherweise dann auch zu Beifallsbekundungen hinreissen zu lassen, nachdem wir fachgerecht unsere Instrumente bearbeitet haben, und sowohl Victor als auch Mike mit besonderen Soli glänzten. Besonders Mike hat an diesem Abend viel Spass, da er seiner Wahlheimatstadt spielt. Aber gerade das birgt Gefahren: Wir landen im "Headbangers Ballroom"; und zwar alle Bands.

Mike: Victor The Cosmonaut Smolski was in rare form this evening...although he was very hungry he ignored this urge to eat and began to drink many Sputnik cocktails into the wee hours of the morning...What a man...He can make party like One on this Planet! Victor you are truly out of this World! Peter Peavy Wagner our Fearless Leader...stood back and watched this nightly ceremony with great pleasure...and after a while also began to consume many Sputnik Cocktails... until the bar was dry! These are real men...Not Warm Duschers!

19.11.99 - 7. TOURTAG - OSNABRÜCK - D

Umgeben von Ägyptischen Artefakten, aßen, duschten und meditierten wir in der Pharaonengrabkammer. Wir fühlten uns wie Ägypter, außer daß es fucking cold war.. Peavy versuchte stundenlang die Mumie auszuwickeln. Diese Mumuie-Auswicklungs-Aktivität wurde von der RAGE-Show unterbrochen, die übrigens wahnsinnig gut war: Fast ausverkauftes Haus mit einem energiegeladenem Publikum. Die Band & die Leute verließen das WORKS super gutgelaunt.. Die Band & die Crew stiegen in den Bus, tranken & aßen die georderten Sandwiches bis in die frühen Morgenstunden. Es war an der Zeit sich die obligatorische Tourerkältung einzufangen.

20.11.99 - 8. TOURTAG - VOSSELAAR - B

Mike freute sich darauf, seiner alten Freunde aus Belgien im BIEBOB wieder zu treffen. Obwohl RAGE in Belgien seit über 15 Jahren nicht mehr gespielt haben, war die Show ausverkauft. Zudem hatten wir großartige Pommes als Abendessen. Während der Show feierten wir mit den Belgischen Fans tierisch ab, und obwohl Peavy's Taschentuchverbrauch immens war an diesem Abend, hatte er keine stimmlichen Probleme, was sich bei dem Gekrächze beim Soundcheck am Nachmittag nicht zu erwarten ließ. Im Club war es so heiß, daß der Schweiß von der Decke tropfte. Ein gestylter Gothic-Fan hatte dadurch immense Probleme mit seinem Make-Up.

21.11.99 - 9. TOURTAG - BOCHUM - D

The show was sold out beyond capacity! RAGE broke a long standing ticket sale and attendants record for the Zeche! The club was packed with excited Rage fans both young & old! Unfortunately we had to send over 400 people back home because the clubs security said we were beyond the safety limit! We knew that this was the home base for Rage (Peavy grew up near Bochum) but we never expected such a large turn-out for the show! We would personally like to thank everyone of the fans who came down for the show and made us feel welcome. You were a fantastic audience! We are now aware that the band is more alive than ever before and that the fans have excepted us with open arms. The band Nightwish also had a great response from the people, but what happened when we hit the stage was very indescribable!

It was one of the hottest show we have ever played! It was like working out in a sauna! By the end of a very high energy show both the band and the audience were totally wet! There was a small lake under Peavy's microphone stand, Victor was near to blacking out from lack of oxygen and Mike had to keep pouring cold water over his head during the show to keep from passing out! Even though it was extremely hot and uncomfortable the Rage fans stayed right to the very end! We all had a great time, but were happy to leave the stage and cool down!

The band proudly celebrated the success of the show with a few SPUTNIK Cocktails in the upper bar of the Zeche!

22.11.99 - 10. TOURTAG - SAARBRÜCKEN - D

Peavy fell out of his bunk to see the first snow fall of the year! He cried tears of joy and then went inside the Garage club for some breakfast and a quick shower. Sound check was incredibly loud and we knew then that our ears would gone before the night was over! This was the last show for our opening band Valley's Eve they got a very warm response for the audience, but unfortunately the guitar player Mario blew up his guitar rack (the stage refrigerator)...now the boys in the band have to keep there beer cold backstage like the rest of us!

The Rage fans gave the band a great response (the place was packed) even though the show was complicated by P.A problems. The stage was very loud and with regard to our ears we were right...we had trouble listening to the fans when having a conversation after the show!

Then as always back on the bus which was driving through some heavy snow on the way to Spain. The band settled into the back lounge with some food and drink and enjoyed watching a video tape of the show in Bochum. We will be back in a few days to give you a full report of the southern European leg of the tour!

	23.11.99 - 11. TOURTAG - DAY OFF Day Off

24.11.99 - 12. TOURTAG - BARCELONA - ESP

Ein dunkler Schleier liegt über dem Himmel. Mike empfiehlt, daß wir zur Abwechslung mal die Sonnenbrillen abnehmen könnten - das ist der Bringer ! Siehe da, es lacht uns die spanische Sonne entgegen, bei angenehmen Temperaturen um die 20°. Peavy & ein paar Jungs und Mädels unserer Crew quälen sich schon um 10.00 Uhr morgens aus dem Bett, um erstmal Sightseeing zu machen, was sich auch als recht amüsant entpuppt. Fremdenführer macht unser alter Kumpel aus Barcelona, Francesco.

Besonders angetan hat es uns die Kathedrale "La Sagrada Familia", seit 120 Jahren immer noch im Bau befindlich und von Baumeister Gaudí im futuristischen rganischen Baustil angesetzt. Wir schrauben uns ca. 500 Stufen hoch in schwindelerregende Höhen, bis uns schlecht ist.

Der Gig am Abend ist (typisch südeuropäisch) super ! Seeehr guter Einstand.....

25.11.99 - 13. TOURTAG - MADRID - ESP

Der Tag wird eher stressig für uns. Wie schon gestern, haben wir den Nachmittag vollgestopft mit Interviews und einer Autogrammstunde, wobei wir durch die halbe Stadt fahren müssen, um den Plattenladen zu erreichen. Von da aus schnell zurück ins "Macumba". Die Leute vom "Macumba" haben immer noch nicht ihre Dusche richtig angeschlossen - so ist sie eiskalt, während das Spülwasser im Klo nebenan kocht. Victor ist ziemlich krank (Peavy sowieso), wir packen ihn bei unserer Rückkehr erstmal ins Bett im Hotel, während Mike & Peavy bis 5 min vor Showstart Interviews geben ! Man hat's halt nicht leicht, den ganzen Tag nix zu essen und jetzt noch voll in Hektik auf die Bühne. Der Gig ist jedoch super und nachher sind alle happy, auch Boggie Kopec, unser Manager, der extra für uns angereist ist. Viele Drinks später geht's mit dem Bus weiter.

26.11.99 - 14. TOURTAG - AVILES - ESP Es ist warm, wie im Sommer; Elmar kann endlich seinen Bus waschen, während sich Django sonnt. Alle relaxen. Sonst ist nichts großartig zu berichten. Guter Gig, schön voll, viel Spaß und so weiter.....

27.11.99 - 15. TOURTAG - BERGARA - ESP

Heute im Baskenland, die ja bekanntlich mit Spanien nix zu tun haben wollen. Natürlich tritt Peavy voll ins Fettnäpfchen, als er nach gelungener Show vor vollem Haus "Viva Espana" ruft; aber alle haben's wohl verstanden, daß das nicht bös' gemeint war. Ansonsten wie immer in Spananien:

28.11.99 - 16. TOURTAG - VALENCIA - ESP

Unser letzter Gig in Spanien, und wir hoffen auf wenigstens einmal leckeres Essen. Aber leider (obwohl Valencia der Geburtsort der Paella ist) bekamen wir eine Paella, welche man bestenfalls als Abfall klassieren kann; voll eklig, dafür sollen wir uns den Salat teilen - 4 Leute einen Teller - jetzt gibt's Ärger: Kirsten macht Stunk, so daß wir uns kurze Zeit später vor lauter Salat nicht mehr retten können.

Auch diese Show war gut besucht, und wir haben abgeräumt, obwohl die PA nicht besonders war und unsere Mägen rebellierten. (Diarrhoea of a madman). Wir freuen uns jetzt auf die Schweiz !

	29.11.99 - 17. TOURTAG - DAY OFF Day Off

30.11.99 - 18. TOURTAG - GENEVA - CH

O.K We are now in Switzerland! Oh Boy! First of all we would like to say sorry to our good buddy and WEB MASTER JOE! He was supposed to join us on the Spanish leg of the tour, but there was no room for him on the bus, because we had to take on an extra Spanish Road Manager...unfortunatley , this guy turned out to be a complete loser! And he was ejected from our bus by our other good buddy Django Ültenzack! In other words I guess you could say this guy was Djangonized...Thank You! Maybe next tour Joe can come out and truly experience the sights, the sounds and the smells of a hard working rock band....we love you Man!....Keep that web site Rocking!

Now for the good part....the show....What show....The stage was the size of a postage stamp, we could not use our castle backdrop or our very fancy & tricky light show.....and even worse we could not hang our beautiful CREATURE!....this really sucked! But now the icing on the cake, the club by law only allows the bands that play at a sound level of 95 Db.....Most kids have car strereos louder than the clubs P.A system....This was not a good place for a Heavy Metal Show, but we played as best we could under the conditions....and then we left.... without any sandwiches; however the people at the venue were nice and made a very good dinner for the bands and crew...Thank you!

01.12.99 - 19. TOURTAG - PRATTELN - CH

Now this was a great venue and it also turned out to be a great show! The stage was nice and big, the crowd was nice and even bigger and the food was also nice and big.....even the applause after each song was...NICE & BIG!

It was also great to meet our Rage Fan Club leaders Dane & Martin. They do a great job for us, and after the show they made us a chocolate cake..., which Peavy, the Cosmonaut and the Troll really enjoyed eating without forks! It was one of the most relaxing days on the tour so far and we had a great time after the show drinking with the boys and girls from Nightwish.

02.12.99 - 20. TOURTAG - TURIN - I

Another great show....and a fantastic audience.....but the light.....this is a another story! Due to technical problems the light movers did not work (I told it was a tricky light show) and due alcohol problems our light man Holger "The Barbarian" set up his lighting desk to close to the bar and could bring himself to turn down any of the free Sputnik Cocktails TM. Thanks to Barbarian we played half of our set in the dark; however we were rescued from darkness by none other than Big Tommie the Cue Ball- THE FINISH PRINCE OF LIGHTING! Thank you Tommie.... Your checks in the mail....NOT! Both of these light-men were drunk .....SAD but TRUE and were forced to sleep together in one of the luggage bays of the Rage bus. We still had a great time and would like to thank all of our fans in Italy for coming to the show!

03.12.99 - 21. TOURTAG - VIENNA - A

Lord Elmar D. Hill our fearless driver got us to the gig ahead of time after a long 14 hour overnight drive....this is a real man....not a Warm Duscher! It was nice to be back in Vienna. The last Rage show was approximately 8 years ago. Great venue and the audience was very responsive and kind. The place was packed with hard core Rage fans, it was a apparent they got what they came for! We also had a nice opportunity to kick back and have a few Sputnik Cocktails TM and talk with some of the fans. Then business as usual back on the bus direction Kaufbeuren.

04.12.99 - 22. TOURTAG - KAUFBEUREN - D

The Zeppelinhalle was very big and full fans. We were tired and full of dirty little GERMS! This brought us to our knees, but we still ROCKED....no Warm Duschers HERE!

We were also glad to have our little Bavarian Buddies from Valleys Eve back on the tour! Mike would like to thank them for the Weizen Beer and the Bavarian Dictionary...That will keep him out of trouble at least for an hour or two. Later after the show Peavy's bass tech joined the boys in Valleys Eve for a little R&R at a local rock disco.....while we rescued the Nightwish band from their bus which slipped off the road and became stuck in the snow. Nightwish spent the night on the Rage bus and the boys of Valleys Eve were....DJANGONIZED!

Peavy & Mike were very ill with the flue, but the show went on. The place was packed and hotter than hell. We were sweating before we even hit the stage! There was a puddle of water under Peavys Mic Stand, we all looked like we just came out the shower wet, tired and sick, but it was a cool show and the audience was great (also very wet!)

The lady who ran the catering wanted to charge us 30 DM for 3 towels Peavy threw into the audience.....what a loser! She was fired and then she was DJANGONIZED TM! Poor girl...maybe she can get a new job...making towels!

We were still sick, but the show was cool! Lot's of Rage Fans; however there was a riot after the show due to some drunken Skinhead activity....Not Cool! Shame on You

09.12.99 - 27. TOURTAG - KÖLN - D

Big Day...Live recording and video shoot! Oh Boy....long sound check too! We wanted to record some of the material with the new line up for a possible live release next year. As you know, Rage is celebrating it's 15th. year anniversary. Thanks to the 1,000 fans that showed up and cheered us on during the recording of the whole show. For us it was a nice show, but it was kind of stressful because we had the pressure of making a live recording in the back of our minds. The day was also packed with interviews for the band and lot's of friends who wanted to hang out before and after the show.

10.12.99 - 28. TOURTAG - BAD SALZUNGEN - D It was another great show! 400 Rage fans showed up in full force to Rock with the boys in the band. Before the show we (the band) were treated to some nice Poisonous Fish for dinner! Just the way we like it! This made us even play faster! No big news.... We had fun and so did the Fans! Thanks Guys.... We Love You!

11.12.99 - 29. TOURTAG - FREIBERG - D

This was a very cool venue! Very historic, great food, great stage and PA. Peavy took a walk through the town and enjoyed the historic sites. Victor and Mike relaxed and tried to get over their colds. It was a very nice show... really enthusiastic crowd. The ownwer of the venue was a very cool guy. After the show he invited us downstairs for some fine German beer and some Sputnik Cocktails TM.

12.12.99 - 30. TOURTAG - LUDWIGSBURG - D

This was the last show on the tour! So we were ready to give full power for our last show of 1999.... The last big gig before the new Millennium! We were happy to finish the tour, because we were all very sick at this point... we referred to our bus as the ROLLING GERM WAGEN TM. However we were also sad to say goodbye to good friends Valley's Eve and Nightwish. All of these guys where very nice people and we had a lot of fun during the course of the tour. Both bands did a great job and the fans really got a nice night of good Rock and Roll.

Nightwish played "From The Cradle To The Grave" in their set and it sounded very cool! Thanks guys and Girl! Our road crew and Peavy finished off the night wearing Santa Hats... very sexy! It was also exactly 15 years ago that Peavy did his first show ever with Rage at this very same club, and now he plays again with his new line-up on the same stage just near the close of the century... THATS TOTALLY FREAKY MAN! Congratulations to Peavy, you got a lot of guts my friend... You all know... It's a long way to the top if you want to Rock and Roll.

After the show the boys in Rage cooled down with a nice after show party with all band members and crew from Valley's Eve and Nightwish. We even managed to share some of Victors Sputnik Cocktails with these guys... of course they loved it! We said our good-byes... Swiftly jumped onto the Bus of Germs and made our way back home!

We would like to thank all of our fans and wish them the best of luck for the Year 2000! Thanks again for your support!
